Christmas Cards

You may order 5x7 or 5x5 one-sided cards for any occasion once you've purchased a collection for a special price of $35 (a box of 25 cards). For those wanting to purchase only cards the price is $100 for 2 boxes (50 cards).

These are cards I designed and the elements can be rearranged and the colors can be changed in various ways to meet your family's needs.

Precious!!

Here's that really cute little preschool girl I said I was going to post on my blog!! Of course, all the kids I photograph are precious but I just adore these glasses on her and her little outfit...

My next post will be Christmas card templates and I know you'll be thinking "give me a break, we haven't even had halloween yet" but I've already had people asking and a lot of the shooting I'm doing now will be used for Christmas cards.

Lundy Sneak Peaks but Shhhhhh.....

these are going to be a surprise Christmas present for their parents so if you know them keep it under wraps until after Christmas! This is Heather and Alex and their two incredibly cute kids!! We went to downtown Ft. Worth for these so I thought it would be the perfect time to try out some new stuff. Heather and I have been friends since high school and she and her family came all the way from Oklahoma for these so..... many illnesses later (her kids AND mine) we finally pulled it off!!

Yay! Its fall!

Its so awesome to go outside and feel the cool air! I just wish it would stay this way.

Wow, I haven't blogged in a long time. I'm finding it harder to blog now that I've been tagging photos on facebook. I've been so busy with the kids and helping with Samuel and Brianna's school. And speaking of the school...we're having a pumpkin patch and GIANT hay maze on Friday, Saturday, and Wednesday nights in October as a fundraiser. I think its going to be a lot of fun! I also did the kid's school pictures as a fundraiser and ended up with some REALLY cute models! I can't wait to post one of the cutest little preschool girl I've ever seen but I've got to meet her mom and get permission. It was so funny because Samuel and Brianna were so excited about the school pictures because of all the hyp at school about picture day. Brianna wanted me to paint her nails and they both started trying to pick out their clothes about a week early. It was pretty cute. Here are my two...

I'll will post more after I get permission. Since I did them at the school and I only do natural light I had to work with what was available. There's a nice wood fence in front of the school so I used that. It was a risk because if the sun came out being under trees can cause a lot of problems but it turned out overcast, YAY!...made the back ground evenly lit and I was really happy with how they turned out. We did have some squinters though. One kid asked me if I was trying to blind him with my reflector..haha. One of the squintiest squinters was Brianna.

And, here are some more of a session I did with these two handsome little guys.

A fairy good day....(how corny is that)?

One day last week I went over to Jennifer Bow's house for a party she was having to give away a bunch of groovy old vintage clothing AND I saw these cool little...well huge really...fairy houses that her two girls had made. I immediately thought of how Brianna would think that was cool. She loves to collect random pieces of junk and trash and make things out of them. So, Jennifer and her girls offered to come help us make fairy houses. Samuel's was going to be an Ewok hut since he's a Star Wars lover. The Bows left around 4ish and Samuel and Brianna were busy with the hot glue gun until after 6. That's pretty much a record for them when it comes to playing and getting along in one long stretch.

Pretty much all they used to assemble the houses were a hot glue gun, nature hike collections, and trash. So, that means it was FREE and they played together happily for hours. Plus, Jennifer says this is a never ending project for her girls so I guess we may end up with fairy and Ewok mansions.

(Crazy color casts on most of these from the available tungsten and fluorescent lights).

Here's the fairy's chalkboard...

Alexis...too little to use the hot glue gun so she just watched Meta and Samuel make hers.

As and artist, I guess, I just love seeing what comes when kids create with their little imaginations! Its just crazy what comes out of their little heads. They all had some great ideas.

And here are a couple from my sessions this week. The first one is my friend, Heidi's kids. Heidi and I go way back. We went to church together when I was in high school and then lived together our first year at Tarleton. Her kids are too cute!

Last but not least, is Jessica and DD's sweet little Ruthie. She looks just like big brother!  And, I must say she's wins the award for newborn with the longest eyelashes.

Summer's going by too fast!

So, this summer as usual we've planted a HUGE garden. I had to get a picture just to remember how tall our corn was this year. Looking back at old pictures of any kind of landscape I almost always wish there were people in the picture. So, just as they were I had my kiddos huddle in the middle of the garden. Samuel was heading to baseball, Mackenzie had been busy eating dirt again, and Brianna dressed herself..oh my.

I think its so cool to be able to grow your own food! I must admit though, I don't think it saves us ANY money. If you've ever planted squash you know they produce like crazy and its hard to think of creative ways to use them. My neighbor gave me a recipe for a lemon pie made out of yellow squash! I tried making it coconut this time and it was good but it didn't quite mask the squash taste like the lemon one.

I really do think I could be amish if they would still let me use my camera! Oh...and wear makeup!!!

I had a cancellation last week so I wanted to try and take lots of pictures of my own kids since I had the extra time. So, here are a few of my crew minus Alexis. She's due for her own photo shoot:)

This is Mackenzie's "I WANT YOU, MAMMA" face.

And, here are a couple of a recent newborn who literally tipped the scales. I'm one of those people who lays in bed at night thinking about all the bad things that could happen. I know...not good. Anyway, I NEVER put newborns on anything high incase they fall. This little guy was about 5 inches off the ground on one of my baby scales when it turned over!! Thank God he was wrapped up in blankets and only 4 or 5 inches off the ground. He never even woke up! Shew!

Katie and Baxter

Here are some pictures I got to do for Katie and Baxter who are getting ready to take a little trip to Southeast Asia. They'll have a really neat opportunity to live on campus with some Asian students and teach English in a non-formal setting. They're going to the same place that I got to go and make some friends when Chance and I went on our trip so I'm really excited that they may get to continue some of those relationships and build many more.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I guess I can't post without a photo so here is my Mother's Day gift....the most BEAUTIFUL hydrangea I ever saw!! Now, if I can just keep it alive :0

I got my flowers early but I woke up to the sweetest cards from my kids. One had a picture of a Basset Hound puppy and a cute little joke inside. (I'm obsessed with Basset Hound puppies...just waiting until the fence is finished to get one). The other was a card Samuel made all by himself, on his own initiative...so sweet. Those things really put life in perspective for me. They are a good reminder that my kids still love and appreciate me despite all the times I feel like I've blown it as a mom and been less than what they deserve. Anyway...just thinking about being a mom today and how I never imagined that I would love my kids THIS much.

Speaking of mothers...my mom helped me take the kids to the zoo yesterday. We had a toy garage sale and the kids got rid of a TON of toys, YAY! And they all agreed they wanted to go to the Zoo with the money..AND..it just so happened one of the monkeys had a baby! (I'm also a little monkey crazy). We never could see the baby's face because her mamma had her nestled tightly...just hands and feet.

Here are some other guys who posed for the camera.
